ReadWrite Chinese for Windows Mobile / Pocket PC teaches the 1000 most frequently used Chinese characters. The program features each character's meaning, pinyin pronunciations and stroke order illustrations and animations.
The program features:
* Writing stroke order animations for all hanzi
* Over 4000 examples of the use of the kanji included
* Flashcard review and exercises to aid memorization
Both Simplified and Traditional character versions of the program are available.
The program utilizes a Learning List which, at any one time, contains a small subset of the total 1000 characters. Students begin by reviewing the characters in the Learning List and then progress to a number of exercises. If all the exercises are completed correctly for a particular character, it then moves off the learning list and another yet unlearned character replaces it. If a mistake is made in any of the exercises, the character's scores are reset and all exercises must be repeated.
The program also includes 4000 examples that illustrate the use of each of the character.
